Tollbooth Simulator is a mix of management sim and chaotic traffic control. You’ll run a toll booth opeartion, keep cars moving, manage lines, and deal with random events that can completely change your shift.
You will start from humble begginings of a single booth on a dirt road, to a mega-operation of booths using sci-fi technology... given you are able to last that long.
Tollway Tycoon is available for PC (Steam)
No, this game is a unique experience which focuses on managing chaos for your tollbooth operation and avoiding bankruptcy or other loss conditions (too many cars getting blown up?) rather than document inspection.
The game focuses primarily on sandbox gameplay, but various random story narratives will occur behind the scenes which will influence the unique direction of each playthrough.
Without too many spoilers, a lot of chaos is to be expected. You will deal with erratic drivers, poorly performing staff, animals, wars, paranormal and extra-terrestrial events and many more chaotic events. Some events may be positive, but the majority will introduce new challenges for your operation.
The game focuses on PG game-play, however additional modes through the game options will allow for a more mature experience. Think of exploding deers for an example.
Early Access is planned for Q1, 2026. This will be updated as the game development progresses.
Regular weekly to fortnightly updates are planned with major updates (save-game-breaking) occuring less often.
